These Terms and Conditions apply when you access Truck Mechanic Te Awamutu, submit a service enquiry or arrange truck repair, diagnostic, maintenance or inspection support through this website. By using the website, you agree to these terms.
Please read them before submitting a booking request. A website enquiry does not by itself confirm a booking, price, arrival time or agreement to complete work. Those details must be confirmed separately after the truck’s requirements have been reviewed.
USE OF THIS WEBSITE
You may use this website to review available services, submit truck and contact details, and request further information. You must use the website lawfully and must not interfere with its security, operation or availability.
Information you submit must be accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must not submit another person’s private information without authority or use the website to send misleading, unlawful or harmful material.
ENQUIRIES AND BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Submitting a form, email or telephone enquiry is a request for contact only. A service booking is confirmed only when the scope of work, location, availability and any relevant commercial terms have been agreed.
Service availability may depend on location, site access, vehicle condition, required equipment, technician availability, parts and whether the work can be performed safely. An enquiry may be declined or an alternative service option may be recommended where appropriate.
TRUCK AND LOCATION INFORMATION
You are responsible for providing reasonably complete information about the truck, reported symptoms, current location, access conditions and any known safety concerns. You must also have authority to request work on the vehicle.
Before attendance, disclose hazards such as unstable ground, traffic exposure, dangerous goods, damaged electrical systems or an unsafe vehicle position. Work may be paused, relocated or refused if conditions are unsafe or materially different from the information supplied.
QUOTES, ESTIMATES AND ADDITIONAL WORK
Any quote applies to the stated scope and remains subject to the conditions communicated with it. An estimate is an indication only and may change when the vehicle is inspected or dismantled and the full nature of the fault becomes known.
Additional faults, parts or labour outside the agreed scope should be discussed before extra work proceeds, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent injury or further material damage. Applicable call-out, travel, diagnostic, labour, parts and third-party charges should be confirmed as part of the service arrangement.
PAYMENT AND OVERDUE AMOUNTS
Payment is due according to the invoice, quote or other terms agreed for the work. Unless alternative arrangements are confirmed, payment may be required when the work is completed or before the vehicle or supplied parts are released.
You are responsible for reasonable recovery costs lawfully incurred in collecting an overdue amount. Nothing in this clause permits charges that have not been disclosed or that are prohibited by law.
CANCELLATIONS AND DELAYS
If you need to cancel or change a booking, provide as much notice as reasonably possible. Reasonable costs already incurred for travel, specially ordered parts, diagnosis or allocated labour may remain payable where those costs were disclosed or otherwise lawfully recoverable.
Arrival and completion times may be affected by road conditions, emergency work, parts availability, weather, access restrictions or faults discovered during inspection. You will be informed when a material delay becomes known, but no timeframe is guaranteed unless expressly agreed.
PARTS AND THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS
Parts may be new, reconditioned or used where that option is agreed and suitable for the work. Manufacturer or supplier warranties may apply to certain parts and remain subject to their stated conditions, together with any rights available under New Zealand law.
Availability and delivery dates supplied by third parties are outside direct control. Substitutions that materially affect specification or price should not be made without approval.
INSPECTION AND TESTING
Reasonable diagnostic procedures, engine operation, system testing or a road test may be required to identify a fault or confirm a repair. By authorising work, you permit reasonable testing necessary for the agreed service, subject to safety and legal requirements.
A Pre-CoF inspection is preparation for an official Certificate of Fitness assessment. It does not guarantee that a vehicle will pass an inspection conducted by an authorised inspecting organisation.
INDEPENDENT SERVICE PROVIDERS
Where an enquiry is accepted or fulfilled by an independent mechanic, workshop or other provider, that provider is responsible for the work it agrees to perform and may issue its own quote, invoice, warranty or service terms. Any separate terms should be disclosed before the relevant work proceeds.
The identity of the party responsible for performing and invoicing the work should be confirmed as part of the booking process.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the website operator nor a service provider is liable for indirect or consequential loss that could not reasonably have been anticipated, or for loss caused by inaccurate information, undisclosed defects, unsafe access, misuse, unauthorised alterations or events outside reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any applicable rights or remedies under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other New Zealand legislation.
WEBSITE CONTENT AND AVAILABILITY
Website information is general and may be updated without notice. It is not a remote diagnosis, mechanical certification or substitute for inspecting the vehicle. Service descriptions do not mean every type of repair is available at every location or in every circumstance.
Reasonable steps are taken to maintain the website, but uninterrupted access, freedom from errors or compatibility with every device cannot be guaranteed.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, original text, graphics and other site material are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal or internal business reference, but you may not republish, sell or systematically reproduce them without permission.
NEW ZEALAND LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by New Zealand law. Any dispute should first be raised directly so the parties have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. If it cannot be resolved, the matter may be referred to an appropriate New Zealand court, tribunal or dispute-resolution process.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
These terms may be updated when the website, available services or legal requirements change. The revised version takes effect when published on this page, and the date at the top will be updated.
